Joe O'Connor has won himself a two year professional tour card courtesy of the EBSA play offs. He's the second EASB player to make it to the pro ranks this year after Harvey Chandler's success at the European Championships.
O'Connor faced Brandon Sargeant in the quarter finals on Wednesday and despite Brandon having a century break in the third frame, Joe went on to win 4-1.
He then faced Oliver Brown where he ran out the winner by 4 frames to 0
The Leicester lad can now relax knowing that he doesn't have to face the trauma of Q School and can get down to some serious practice before the start of his pro career.
Well done Joe and hopefully after Q School there will be a few more of the EASB players joining him in the pro ranks.
